Getting your Commercial sanitaryware needs sorted. The team is here to help!

So, you have some specific site or building requirements and would like some guidance on the options. Perhaps you have a client who’s wavering between two products, and you need to settle on the best solution. Or maybe you’d simply like some expert assistance with a detailed specification for the plumber to work from.

The assistance you need is just a phone call or email away. Macdonald Industries has a team of specialist technical consultants available at no cost. They’re here to save you time and money and help you select the right products for the job.

Andrew Chaney looks after designers and architects in the South Island. Assisting clients from Wellington to Taupo and everywhere in between is Vince Selby. And for the rest of the North Island, Zaina Ali is the person to call.

Together they have decades of professional experience in bathroom design and product selection as well as detailed knowledge of Macdonald Industries extensive product range.

The team sum up the service they provide:

“We’re here to help with all the details when architects and designers specify our products and to help them get the terminology correct. We keep them updated with new products, support them with specifying sanitary schedules, and help them choose the range that is best suited for their projects.”

Zaina says that most designers and architects have a good idea of what they want but they might not be across all the details (and may be under some time pressure as well). That’s where she can help.

“I can work out the functional outcomes based on their plans and provide ordering a full schedule including codes if they need them. The specifiers want to put the right product codes and the correct language on a plan so when it comes to production, they can be sure it’s actually going to be built that way.”

Making sure designers and architects are informed about new ranges is another key task. “We’re here to keep them up to date with things like new products, new functionality, compliance with standards and also things that aren't available,” Vince says.

Anything else they’d like designers to know?

Andrew: “That they're free to call me at any time. And that is probably the most straightforward way to get information when they need it.”   We also can complete the schedule for inclusion in the specification and complete the Masterspec details, saving people time.

Zaina: “Visit the Macdonald Showrooms in Auckland or Christchurch and bring your clients too. Building owners and developers often don’t realise what is possible or what standards exist requiring compliance. For example accessible and ambulant options along with height adjustable and removable fixtures for flexible bathrooms, so our showrooms become an invaluable resource for understanding our products and how to use them in bathroom designs.”

Vince: “We’re an approachable team with a lot of useful information along with recent case studies. We’re across everything that Macdonald Industries does, and our experience in the industry means we can offer so much more than just advising on products.”
